Our Story

We met in July 2020, the year of Covid, on Match.com. We were married in April 2021. We started trying to have a baby in October 2021, and in March 2022, we found out we were pregnant. Two days before induction day on November 6, 2022, we found out our son, Kent, no longer had a heartbeat. He was delivered, and laid to rest in North Ogden, UT. We have been trying for 19 months to give our son a sibling. It has been a rough, and devastating journey. We feel like we are meant to adopt a baby to expand our family. We enjoy going to musicals, plays, and movies. We love traveling and going on adventures. We hope to one day cross off South America for Brian since it is the only continent he hasn’t been to. We like visiting with friends and family and playing card games or board games. A lot of times, we just like staying at home, and watching TV together. Most importantly, we freaking love penguins!

Things We Love to Do Together

We thought it would be fun to share some of the things we absolutely love doing as a couple. These moments make life so sweet, and we can't wait to keep adding to the list:

Theater Nights – From Broadway shows like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to performances at Center Point Theater and other local playhouses, we love getting swept up in the magic of the stage. Attending the Utah Shakespeare Festival every year is a highlight of our calendar!

Exploring the Outdoors – Whether it's strolling through Central Park, enjoying the beauty of Wyoming, or discovering hidden gems around Utah, we’re always up for an adventure.

Travel and Vacations – Brian’s been lucky to travel to all 50 states and 13 countries on 6 of the 7 continents, while Stacie has visited Canada and a handful of states. We’ve explored breathtaking spots like Glacier National Park, Banff, Dry Tortugas National Park, Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, Arches National Park, Capital Reef National Park, and even unique spots like the Nevada National Security Site. Every trip adds new stories and memories to cherish. One of our bucket list goals is to visit all the National Parks!

Cheering at Hockey Games – We love the energy of hockey and have so much fun cheering on the Utah Grizzlies. One day, we’ll be sharing this with our future little one!

Movie Time – Watching movies is one of our favorite things to do, and we really enjoy going to Cinemark for the full theater experience. Whether it’s a big screen blockbuster like Wicked: Part One or a cozy movie night at home, Stacie’s DVD collection always has something fun to pull out for a classic movie night!

Game Nights – From epic Phase 10 victories (Brian might have bragging rights for now!) to friendly competition, games bring us closer. We love having many friends over for dinner and game nights—it’s always a blast! We also enjoy playing Hand and Foot with Stacie’s parents, which always brings lots of laughs and fun competition. Plus, we love trying new games together!

Penguin Love – We absolutely love seeing penguins! Whether it’s at an aquarium or a wildlife park, their charm never gets old. One day, we can’t wait to see them in their natural habitat! In the meantime, we’re always collecting anything penguin-related!

Family Time – Family is so important to us, and we cherish every moment we get to spend with our loved ones. Celebrating big milestones, like anniversaries with Stacie’s parents, is always special.

We’re so grateful for these moments and for each other.
