The past two weeks have been a blur. Brian and I can hardly believe it is almost August. Where did this summer go? We were able to attend the 90th Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo with Jerald and Kim Shaw on July 19th. It was my first rodeo, and it definitely did not disappoint. We also spent an afternoon in the mountains at Silver Lake right next to Brighton ski resort up Big Cottonwood Canyon on July 20th. We celebrated the state holiday Pioneer Day early with friends for Pie and Beer (root beer, apple beer, and ginger beer) Day. The temperature up at the lake was a welcome reprieve from the 100-degree weather at home in Draper, UT. This weekend we got to enjoy two musicals! We saw The Nutty Professor at the Hale Center Theater in Sandy, UT on Friday night. On Saturday night, we went to see You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown at Centerpoint Theater in Centerville, UT. The kids in the audience were very entertaining, and the actors did a great job at improvising with all of the adorable comments from the audience. We like staying busy because it gets us out of our quiet home, but today we are definitely enjoying a relaxing Sunday.
